Tattoo Removal
Regret it. Outgrown it. Changed your mind.
Tattoo removal is not about shame. It is about choice.
At Bare Faced Beauty, we use a Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser designed specifically to treat black, blue and red inks safely and effectively.
Removal is a process. Not a single session fix.
And honest expectations are everything.
How Tattoo Removal Works
The Q-Switched laser delivers ultra-short pulses of energy into the tattoo pigment.
That energy shatters the ink particles into smaller fragments.
Your body then gradually clears those fragments through the lymphatic system over the following weeks.
Nothing is cut out.
Nothing is scrubbed off.
The skin heals from the inside.
What Colours Can Be Treated?
Our laser is effective for:
• Black ink
• Dark blue
• Red tones
Some colours respond faster than others. Black typically fades the quickest. Lighter or previously treated tattoos may require more sessions.
We assess all of this during your consultation.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
There is no blanket answer.
It depends on:
• Ink colour
• Ink density
• Depth of the tattoo
• Location on the body
• Whether it has been treated before
• Your immune response
Most tattoos require multiple sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.
Removal is gradual. You should expect progressive fading, not instant disappearance.
I will always give you a realistic estimate after assessing your tattoo properly.
What To Expect
During treatment you will feel quick, sharp pulses. Most clients describe it as similar to having the tattoo done.
After treatment you may experience:
• Redness
• Mild swelling
• Temporary whitening of the ink
• Light scabbing
The area will need to be kept clean and protected while it heals.
Downtime is minimal, but aftercare is important.

Is Tattoo Removal Safe?
When performed correctly, yes.
At Bare Faced Beauty:
• Treatments are performed using medical-grade Q-Switched technology
• Settings are adjusted for your skin type and tattoo characteristics
• Proper spacing between sessions is maintained
We treat conservatively and progressively to protect the skin while achieving steady fading.
Cosmetic Tattoo Removal
Cosmetic tattoos such as brows or lip liner require careful assessment before treatment.
Some pigments can change colour if treated incorrectly.
Consultation is essential before booking cosmetic tattoo removal.
