Laser Tattoo Removal in Broadford
Sometimes a tattoo simply no longer belongs in your life. Whether it’s something you’ve outgrown, a faded cosmetic tattoo, a name you’d rather leave in the past or you’re preparing for a cover-up, laser tattoo removal gives you the opportunity to move forward.
At Bare Faced Beauty, every tattoo removal journey starts with a consultation. I’ll assess your tattoo, explain what results you can realistically expect and answer any questions before we begin. Once you’re ready, we use advanced Q-Switched laser technology to gradually break down the tattoo ink so your body’s immune system can naturally remove it over time.
You’ll never be rushed into treatment or promised unrealistic results.
My job is to give you honest advice, realistic expectations
and support you through every stage of the removal process.
Our goal isn’t to promise overnight results - it’s to give you honest advice,
safe treatment and support throughout
the entire removal process.
Why choose Bare Faced Beauty?
Choosing the right clinic is about more than the laser being used.
Every tattoo responds differently, which is why every treatment is planned individually. We assess the size, colours, depth, location and age of your tattoo before recommending a treatment plan, then adjust your treatments as your tattoo fades.
Our goal isn’t simply to remove your tattoo in as few sessions as possible. It’s to achieve the best possible result while protecting the health of your skin throughout the process.
You’ll always receive honest advice, realistic expectations and treatment based on what’s best for your skin. Not false promises or unrealistic timelines.
How Tattoo Removal Works
Q-Switched laser technology delivers ultra-short pulses of energy into the tattoo pigment beneath your skin.
The laser breaks the ink into tiny fragments without cutting or damaging the surrounding skin.
Over the following weeks, your body’s immune system gradually clears those fragmented ink particles through the lymphatic system, which is why tattoo removal is a gradual process rather than an instant one.
Each treatment builds on the last, allowing the tattoo to progressively fade while giving your skin time to heal between sessions.
What Colours Can Be Treated?
Our Q-Switched laser is most effective on:
• Black ink
• Dark blue ink
• Red tones
Some colours naturally respond faster than others. Black ink usually fades the quickest, while lighter colours or previously treated tattoos may require additional sessions.
During your consultation we’ll assess the colours in your tattoo and explain what results are realistically achievable for your individual tattoo.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
There isn’t a single answer because every tattoo is different.
The number of treatments required depends on factors including:
• Ink colours
• Ink density
• Tattoo depth
• Tattoo location
• Whether the tattoo has been treated before
• Your body’s immune response
Most tattoos require multiple sessions, usually spaced around 6–8 weeks apart to allow your body time to remove the fragmented ink before the next treatment.
Laser tattoo removal is a gradual process. You should expect steady fading rather than instant disappearance, and I’ll always give you the most realistic estimate possible after assessing your tattoo.
What To Expect
During treatment you’ll feel quick, sharp pulses against the skin. Most clients describe the sensation as similar to getting the tattoo itself, but treatments are usually completed within a few minutes.
After treatment you may experience:
• Redness
• Mild swelling
• Temporary whitening of the tattoo (frosting)
• Light scabbing
These are all normal parts of the healing process.
Downtime is usually minimal, however following your
aftercare instructions is essential for proper healing and achieving the best possible result.
Is Tattoo Removal Safe?
When performed correctly, yes.
At Bare Faced Beauty:
• Treatments are performed using medical-grade Q-Switched technology
• Settings are adjusted for your skin type and tattoo characteristics
• Proper spacing between sessions is maintained
We treat conservatively and progressively to protect the skin while achieving steady fading.
Will it leave a scar?
Most tattoos can be faded significantly without creating new scars when treated correctly.
Existing tattoo scars may still remain, because laser removes ink - not scar tissue.
Protecting the health of your skin is always my priority.
Cosmetic Tattoo Removal
Cosmetic tattoos require careful assessment before treatment.
Some cosmetic tattoo pigments can temporarily change colour during the removal process before continuing to fade.
Thats why every cosmetic tattoo is assessed before treatment and a personalized plan is created.3er
Consultation is essential before booking cosmetic tattoo removal.
Thinking about a cover-up instead?
Not everyone wants complete tattoo removal.
Many clients simply want to lighten an existing tattoo enough for a tattoo artist to create a cleaner, brighter cover-up.
During your consultation, we’ll discuss whether complete removal or fading for a cover-up is the better option for your goals.
Not Sure If You’re Ready?
Start with a consultation.
We will assess your tattoo, discuss realistic expectations and map out a structured plan so you understand exactly what the process involves.
